Subject: IPX68 Battery leakage
Content: The battery on my IPX68 started leaking. I noticed it was wet and had an odd smell when removed after a day of diving. The other battery I used earlier in the day did not have this issue. The flashlight itself seems to work fine-at the moment-but I am in need of a new battery. I just ordered this from Amazon May 10.

Content: Light not working: night dive. At the end of one 35 min dive, my light would not turn off. After getting out of the water, I unscrewed the cap a couple of turns to lessen spring tension until the light turned off. I didn't need it again so I set it aside. A week after the dive I decided to take a look at it, but the end cap wouldn't budge. I fought with it for 10 minutes and finally got it unscrewed only with the help of vice grips. The inside of the end cap had corroded shut. I tried to clean the corrosion, but could not get it all. I thought I could salvage the light and still use it during camping trips. Even with the corrosion nearly gone, the light doesn't work. I know it's not a contact, LED or battery issue because the light will occasionally turn on (blinking twice) then nothing more. I bought this May, a month before I needed it.

Content: I purchased the DF-3000 light and it worked well for the first SCUBA dive of 50 minutes. About half way through the second dive, the battery ran low at the light started flashing.I don't see where I can buy a second battery without the charger on your site. I might want additional batteries for multi-dive trips. Do you sell just the battery?I see that 21700 is a standard battery dimension and the battery alone is available on other sites. Some batteries support up to 5000 mAh. Can I use a generic battery and can I oo up to 5000 mAh?I generally like the light. It is hard to set on a lower brightness, but it was easy to use and let me see deep into cracks and caverns on a cloudy day in Monterey Bay, CA. I can see recommending this light to my dive buddies.
